A loyal reader asks about apparent discrepancies between turnout and registered voter numbers in Milwaukee that might point to fraud.
If this is indeed a result of fraud, it should be easy to prove.
However, this blog has been involved in one form or another with many elections, and stories like this are a recurring feature.
At worst, they turn out to be a good-faith error that’s easily and quickly rectified. Most of the time, they turn out to be not true at all.
That doesn’t mean that there isn’t some old-fashioned Chicagoing happening in the Badger State, but we’re inclined to ignore it until we know more.
Also, if the Russians are smart, this is the period when they would start rolling out their disinformation campaign…the ROI on planting stories like this would be ridiculously high.

Finally, it’s difficult to take any stories of fraud seriously against a backdrop of Rudy Giuliani, Pam Bondi and Corey Lewandowski as the Trump Rapid Response Team.
