The International Committee of the Fourth International, founded by acolytes of the late Leon Trotsky, has done what no American media critic has dared: demand that the New York Times surrender the Pulitzer Prize it won for its widely debunked 1619 Project. The Times and Nikole Hannah-Jones have recently been caught trying to airbrush out key fabrications on which the Project was premised without any explanation or accountability.

Several liberal historians who might be expected to support the spirit of the Times’ libel were waved off when they attempted to bring inconvenient facts undermining key elements of the Project’s narrative to the Times’ attention. One wonders if the Times could similarly ignore criticism of its colleagues in the mainstream print media, but that speculation is moot because there hasn’t been any.
So add this to the strangeness of 2020: an actual Communist propaganda outlet is fighting back against a false narrative about the founding of American peddled by the most influential newspaper in America. Most of the time when this blog employs the word “Communist”, as in “Bernie Sanders (Commie-VT)”, it’s meant to be taken as exaggeration. Not so here; the World Socialist Web Site, the official organ of the ICFI, is, in point of fact, an actual living breathing bona fide Communist propaganda site. We can’t stress this enough, so we’ll put it in all caps: THE PINKO COMMIE BASTARDS LOVE AMERICA MORE THAN THE NEW YORK TIMES DOES!
